The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 167449 (SUSE Enterprise Linux Security update for MozillaFirefox and mozilla-nss (SUSE-SU-2014:1510-1)).
Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 16942.
