The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 175452 (Debian Security Update for mariadb-10.0 (DSA 3311-1)).

Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
