A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Magento. Affected by this vulnerability is the function blockDirective of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument ___directive with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in Magento Community Edition (CE) 1.9.1.0 and Enterprise Edition (EE) 1.14.1.0 allow remote authenticated users to include and execute certain PHP files via (1) .. (dot dot) sequences in the PATH_INFO to index.php or (2) vectors involving a block value in the ___directive parameter to the Cms_Wysiwyg controller in the Adminhtml module, related to the blockDirective function and the auto loading mechanism. NOTE: vector 2 might not cross privilege boundaries, since administrators might already have the privileges to execute code and upload files.
