The weakness was presented 06/24/2015 as File 132402/Man (Packetstorm). The advisory is available at packetstormsecurity.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-5061 since 06/24/2015. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. A single authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 86804 (ManageEngine AssetExplorer < 6.1.0 Build 6113 Multiple XSS), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses : XSS.
