A vulnerability was found in Netgear DGN1000B up to Firmware 1.1.00.45 (Wireless LAN Software). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown code of the file setup.cgi. The manipulation of the argument service_name/device/etc. with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-80. The advisory is shared for download at s3cur1ty.de. The public release happened without coordination with the vendor. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
