The weakness was released 07/09/2015 by Kai Kang with Tencent PC Manager (Website). The advisory is available at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-3126 since 04/09/2015. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 84641 (Adobe AIR <= 18.0.0.144 Multiple Vulnerabilities (APSB15-16)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows.
