Adobe Reader and Acrobat 10.x before 10.1.15 and 11.x before 11.0.12, Acrobat and Acrobat Reader DC Classic before 2015.006.30060, and Acrobat and Acrobat Reader DC Continuous before 2015.008.20082 on Windows and OS X allow attackers to bypass intended access restrictions and obtain sensitive information via unspecified vectors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-4449, CVE-2015-4450, CVE-2015-5088, CVE-2015-5089, and CVE-2015-5092.
The weakness was disclosed 07/15/2015 by Mauro Gentile (Alex) with Minded Security as APSB15-15 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-8450 since 10/22/2014. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1592.
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 84800 (Adobe Acrobat < 10.1.15 / 11.0.12 / 2015.006.30060 / 2015.008.20082 Multiple Vulnerabilities (APSB15-15)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 123662 (Adobe Reader and Acrobat Multiple Vulnerabilities (APSB15-15)).
Upgrading to version 10.1.15 or 11.0.12 eliminates this vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 20138.
