SQL injection vulnerability in graphs.php in Cacti before 0.8.8e allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the local_graph_id parameter.
The weakness was released 08/11/2015 (Website). The advisory is shared at debian.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-4634 since 06/16/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 84933 (Debian DSA-3312-1 : cacti - security update), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Debian Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 350030 (Amazon Linux Security Advisory for cacti: ALAS-2016-673).
Upgrading to version 0.8.8e eliminates this vulnerability.
