The Apple ID OD plug-in in Apple OS X before 10.10.5 allows attackers to change arbitrary user passwords via a crafted app.

The weakness was shared 08/11/2015 by Maxime Villard with Google Security Team as HT205031 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-3799 since 05/07/2015. Local access is required to approach this attack. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1552 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
