Data Detectors Engine in Apple OS X before 10.10.5 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted series of Unicode characters.
The weakness was released 08/11/2015 by Maxime Villard with Google Security Team as HT205031 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-5750 since 08/06/2015. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
