XNU in the kernel in Apple iOS before 9 does not properly initialize an unspecified data structure, which allows local users to obtain sensitive memory-layout information via unknown vectors.
The weakness was presented 09/16/2015 by Filippo Bigarella (beist) as HT205212 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-5842 since 08/06/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack.
