Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Adobe Flash Player (Multimedia Player Software). Affected is an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-352. The web application does not, or can not, sufficiently verify whether a well-formed, valid, consistent request was intentionally provided by the user who submitted the request. This is going to have an impact on integrity. CVE summarizes:
Adobe Flash Player before 18.0.0.241 and 19.x before 19.0.0.185 on Windows and OS X and before 11.2.202.521 on Linux, Adobe AIR before 19.0.0.190, Adobe AIR SDK before 19.0.0.190, and Adobe AIR SDK & Compiler before 19.0.0.190 do not properly restrict the SWF file format, which allows remote attackers to conduct cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks against JSONP endpoints, and obtain sensitive information, via a crafted OBJECT element with SWF content satisfying the character-set requirements of a callback API. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2014-4671 and CVE-2014-5333.
The weakness was shared 09/22/2015 by Ben Hayak (Website). The advisory is available at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2015-5571 since 07/17/2015. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
