This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-2427 since 03/19/2015. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $5k-$25k at the moment (estimation calculated on 06/26/2022). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product decreasing in the near future.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 86819 (MS15-112: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (3104517)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows : Microsoft Bulletins. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 100266 (Microsoft Internet Explorer Cumulative Security Update (MS15-112)).
