A vulnerability has been found in Microsoft Lync and Skype for Business (Unified Communication Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-6061 since 08/14/2015. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

Applying the patch MS15-123 is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at technet.microsoft.com. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
