Huawei TE30, TE40, TE50, and TE60 multimedia video conferencing endpoints with software before V100R001C10SPC100 do not require entry of the old password when changing the password for the Debug account, which allows physically proximate attackers to change the password by leveraging an unattended workstation.

The weakness was released 01/12/2016 (Website). The advisory is shared at huawei.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-8673 since 12/25/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
