The manipulation of the argument wndtitle with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in IT!CMS (itcms) 0.2 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the wndtitle parameter to (1) lang-en.php, (2) menu-ed.php, or (3) titletext-ed.php.

The weakness was shared 07/30/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-4115 since 07/31/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
