The weakness was shared 05/16/2016 by Stefan Esser (lokihardt) with Nanyang Technological University as HT206568 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-1835 since 01/13/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
