A vulnerability was found in Libksba up to 1.3.2. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects the function append_utf8_value

The append_utf8_value function in the DN decoder (dn.c) in Libksba before 1.3.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) by clearing the high bit of the byte after invalid utf-8 encoded data.
The weakness was published 06/13/2016 (Website). The advisory is available at security.gentoo.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-4356 since 04/29/2016. The exploitation appears to be easy.
