The megasas_ctrl_get_info function in hw/scsi/megasas.c in QEMU allows local guest OS administrators to obtain sensitive host memory information via vectors related to reading device control information.
The weakness was published 06/14/2016 by Li Qiang with Qihoo 360 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.gnu.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-5337 since 06/08/2016. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally. The successful exploitation requires a simple authentication.
