The weakness was shared 05/22/2013 by G. Geshev with Zero Day Initiative as HT5770 as confirmed advisory (Website) via ZDI (Zero Day Initiative). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-0989 since 01/10/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
