Affected by this issue is an unknown functionality of the file cgi-bin/mft/wireless_mft.cgi. The manipulation of the argument ap with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-2573 since 03/15/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
