The 3COM Wireless router 3CRADSL72 running Boot Code 1.3d allows remote attackers to gain sensitive information such as passwords and router settings via a direct HTTP request to app_sta.stm.

The bug was discovered 10/13/2004. The weakness was disclosed 10/13/2004 by Karb0nOxyde as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-1596 since 02/20/2005. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1211 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
