The weakness was shared 06/07/2013 as Xen Security Advisory 55 - Multiple vulnerabilities in libelf PV kernel handling as not defined mailinglist post (oss-sec). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-2196 since 02/19/2013. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
