Absolute path traversal vulnerability in hpdiags/frontend2/commands/saveCompareConfig.php in HP Insight Diagnostics 9.4.0.4710 allows remote attackers to write data to arbitrary files via a full pathname in the argument to the devicePath (aka mount) parameter.

The weakness was released 06/10/2013 by Markus Wulftange with Daimler TSS GmbH as VU#324668 - HP Insight Diagnostics 9.4.0.4710 multiple vulnerabilities as not defined advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. The vendor was not involved in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-3574 since 05/21/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
