SQL injection vulnerability in framework/core/models/expConfig.php in Exponent CMS 2.3.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the apikey parameter.
The weakness was presented 11/02/2016 by Obfuscator as Disclose [10 * cve] in Exponent CMS as confirmed mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). It is possible to read the advisory at seclists.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2016-7789. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
