A vulnerability was found in OpenX. It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown processing of the file admin/plugin-settings.php. The manipulation of the argument group
with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in OpenX before 2.8.10 revision 82710 allow remote administrators to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the group parameter to (1) plugin-preferences.php or (2) plugin-settings.php in www/admin, a different vulnerability than CVE-2013-7376. NOTE: this can be leveraged using CSRF to allow remote unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files.
