The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 370225 (Mozilla Firefox Multiple Vulnerabilities (MFSA2016-89,MFSA2016-90)).

Upgrading to version 50 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
