The bug was discovered 04/19/2016. The weakness was presented 11/08/2016 by Pierre Ernst with Oracle as Fixed in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M13 as confirmed release notes (Website). The advisory is available at tomcat.apache.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-3427 since 03/17/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
