Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 10/08/2022). MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 95768 (MS16-151: Security Update for Windows Kernel-Mode Drivers (3205651)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows : Microsoft Bulletins. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 91314 (Microsoft Security Update for Windows Kernel-Mode Drivers (MS16-151)).

Applying the patch MS16-151 is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at technet.microsoft.com. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.

The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at Tenable (95768). The entry 94456 is pretty similar.
