The HTTPS implementation in Google Chrome before 28.0.1500.71 does not ensure that headers are terminated by \r\n\r\n (carriage return, newline, carriage return, newline), which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to have an unspecified impact via vectors that trigger header truncation.
The weakness was released 07/09/2013 by Antoine Delignat-Lavaud and Karthikeyan Bhargavan with Prosecco as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is shared for download at googlechromereleases.blogspot.dk. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-2853 since 04/11/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
