Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 15.020.20042 and earlier, 15.006.30244 and earlier, 11.0.18 and earlier have an exploitable memory corruption vulnerability in the XFA engine related to a form's structure and organization. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
The bug was discovered 01/10/2017. The weakness was presented 01/05/2017 by Ke Liu (Basti) with Zero Day Initiative as APSB17-01 as confirmed security bulletin (Website). The advisory is shared for download at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-2967 since 12/02/2016. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
