Unspecified vulnerability in the Oracle WebCenter Content component in Oracle Fusion Middleware 10.1.3.5.1, 11.1.1.6.0, and 11.1.1.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to affect confidentiality and integrity via unknown vectors related to Content Server. NOTE: the previous information is from the October 2013 CPU. Oracle has not commented on claims from a third party that the issue is related to "iDoc script injection" in the (1) cs and (2) urm components, which allows attackers to read "sensitive" files, as demonstrated by obtaining the "AES encryption key and encrypted credentials" of the weblogic user.

The weakness was presented 07/16/2013 with Oracle as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - July 2013 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at oracle.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-3770 since 06/03/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is necessary for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1600 for this issue.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 69479 (Oracle WebCenter Content (July 2013 CPU)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses.

Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
