Symfony before 2.8.6 and 3.x before 3.0.6 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication by logging in with an empty password and valid username, which triggers an unauthenticated bind.
The bug was discovered 02/07/2017. The weakness was published 02/07/2017 by Matt (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at symfony.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-2403 since 02/18/2016. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
