The PoDoFo::PdfParser::ReadXRefSubsection function in PdfParser.cpp in PoDoFo 0.9.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via a crafted file.
The bug was discovered 02/03/2017. The weakness was presented 03/01/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-5855 since 02/01/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
