Integer signedness error in epan/dissectors/packet-dcom-sysact.c in the DCOM ISystemActivator dissector in Wireshark 1.10.x before 1.10.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a crafted packet.

The weakness was released 07/26/2013 by Laurent Butti (Oliver) as wnpa-sec-2013-44 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at wireshark.org. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-4925 since 07/26/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
