The bug was discovered 01/12/2016. The weakness was disclosed 03/03/2017 by Michael Benich as CVE-2017-6443: Persistent XSS in EPSON TMNet WebConfig Ver. 1.00 as not defined mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. The public release happened without coordination with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-6443 since 03/03/2017. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
