A vulnerability was found in Goahead Web Server (Web Server) (version now known) and classified as very critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file mail.htm. The manipulation of the argument receiver1 with an unknown input leads to a command injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-77. A command-injection vulnerability exists in a web application on a custom-built GoAhead web server used on Foscam, Vstarcam, and multiple white-label IP camera models. The mail-sending form in the mail.htm page allows an attacker to inject a command into the receiver1 field in the form; it will be executed with root privileges.

The bug was discovered 03/13/2017. The weakness was published 03/13/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cybereason.com.
