A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Office 2007 SP3/2010 SP2/Word Viewer (Office Suite Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component Graphics Component. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-0108 since 09/09/2016. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.

Applying the patch MS17-013 is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at technet.microsoft.com. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
