An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3 is affected. The issue involves the "Safari Reader" component. It allows remote attackers to conduct Universal XSS (UXSS) attacks via a crafted web site.
The bug was discovered 03/27/2017. The weakness was published 03/27/2017 by Erling Ellingsen as HT207617 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-2393 since 12/01/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
