A vulnerability was found in Cisco Unified Computing System Manager, Firepower 4100 Next-Generation Firewall and Firepower 9300 Security Appliance 2.0(1.68)/3.1(1k)A (Virtualization Software) and classified as problematic. The bug was discovered 04/05/2017. The weakness was disclosed 04/07/2017 as cisco-sa-20170405-ucs1 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at tools.cisco.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-6600 since 03/09/2017. An attack has to be approached locally. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1202 for this issue.
The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 2 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k.
Upgrading to version 92.2(1.101), 92.1(1.1658) or 2.0(1.115) eliminates this vulnerability.
