The allow_execstack plugin for setroubleshoot allows local users to execute arbitrary commands by triggering an execstack SELinux denial with a crafted filename, related to the commands.getoutput function.

The bug was discovered 06/22/2016. The weakness was shared 04/11/2017 with Red Hat as not defined mailinglist post (oss-sec). The advisory is available at seclists.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-4446 since 05/02/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack.
