تحتوي إصدارات Wasmtime قبل 36.0.17، و-37.0.0 قبل 48.0.4، و-49.0.0 قبل 49.0.2 على تخصيص ذاكرة غير محدود (unbounded memory allocation) في طريقة `write-zeroes` الخاصة بـ WASIp2 ضمن مكون wasmtime-wasi لـ SinkOutputStream، وهي تيار الإدخال/الإخراج الافتراضي المستخدم عندما لا تكون مخرجات stdout/stderr مُهيّأة. يمكن لضيف WebAssembly خبيث طلب عمليات كتابة ضخمة مليئة بالأصفار، مما يستنفد ذاكرة المضيف ويسبب انقطاع الخدمة (Denial of Service).
