A vulnerability was found in GPAC up to commit f1219cde (2026-07-25) and classified as problematic. Affected is the function gf_node_list_add_child in the file scenegraph/base_scenegraph.c (line 1521) of the component MP4Box. The manipulation via a crafted MP4 file processed with the -nstatx argument leads to a segmentation fault due to invalid pointer dereference. It is possible to launch the attack locally.
