The handler retrieves the attacker-controlled manualTime parameter using websGetVar() and copies it into the fixed-size stack buffer using sscanf() without length validation. Values of more characters overwrite adjacent stack memory and reliably crash the web management service. The confirmed impact is denial of service. |
