Linux kernel में fs/fhandle.c के handle_to_path फ़ंक्शन में Race condition की समस्या है, जो 3.19.1 तक के संस्करणों को प्रभावित करती है। यह स्थानीय उपयोगकर्ताओं को निर्धारित आकार प्रतिबंधों (intended size restrictions) से बचने और इस फ़ंक्शन के निष्पादन के दौरान एक file handle का handle_bytes मान बदलकर अतिरिक्त मेमोरी पते पर read operations ट्रिगर करने की अनुमति देता है।
