The flaw resides in the parse_macfilter_rule function, where the program copies the user-supplied MAC address portion into a fixed-length 32-byte stack buffer using the unsafe strcpy function without any length validation. This allows an attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) or potentially achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) to gain full control of the device. |
