| विवरण | A vulnerability was found in GNU Binutils 2.47. The ld linker has an assertion failure in _bfd_write_merged_section (bfd/merge.c:1121) when linking malformed ELF files with --shared -z now options. When the merge state of a merged section is inconsistent with its content, the BFD_ASSERT triggers. In non-assert builds (ASAN/release), this causes a NULL pointer dereference SEGV. Reproducer: ld --shared -z now -o /dev/null bug_11.o (with PoC file).
