Un buffer overflow in mscreen su SCO OpenServer 5.0 e SCO UNIX 3.2v4 consente a un utente locale di ottenere l'accesso root tramite (1) una variabile d'ambiente TERM di lunghezza eccessiva e (2) una voce di lunghezza eccessiva nel file .mscreenrc.
