Il parser ASN.1 presente in Ethereal 0.9.2 e versioni precedenti consente ad attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (crash) tramite un determinato pacchetto malformato, che induce Ethereal ad allocare la memoria in modo errato, probabilmente a causa della presenza di campi con lunghezza zero.
