Un buffer overflow nella funzione defang di libhttpd.c per thttpd dalle versioni 2.21 alla 2.23b1 consente agli attaccanti remoti di eseguire codice arbitrario tramite richieste che contengono i caratteri < o >, i quali innescano il buffer overflow quando i caratteri vengono espansi nelle sequenze "<" e ">".
